I grew up in Southern California, and started my dance training at the age of three. I trained at Southland Ballet Academy and performed with Festival Ballet Theatre all the way throughout high school. At fifteen years old, I gave my life to the Lord, and it completely transformed my dance journey. I wanted everything in my life to be centered around my faith and that included dance! The ballet steps and routines I was doing were no longer about me, they were about glorifying my Savior and rejoicing in all that he had done for me. I fell in love with dance in a new way.
I was very inspired by a Christian ballet company called Ballet Magnificat, located in Jackson Mississippi. The Lord ended up opening a door, and I had the opportunity to be a part of Ballet Magnificat's trainee program and Events Company. I lived in Jackson for three years, and was able to develop my dance training and learn how dance can be used as personal worship, corporate worship, and evangelistic ministry.
In 2021, I had the opportunity to move to Tennessee and be part of a new Christian Company, Enoch Contemporary Ballet. After sustaining an injury, I retired from performing in 2022, but I always had the desire to invest in the next generation of dancers. Over the past eight years, I have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of studio settings as well as private instruction. I now feel incredibly blessed to share my passion, training, and experience through Dance on Mission. It is my joy to help students grow in both their dance technique and artistry, as well as their faith and confidence in Christ. My husband and I are excited to now call Lenoir City our home and are excited to invest in this community through dance and the arts.
