Class Descriptions

Baby Ballet (Ages 3-5):

Baby ballet is an introductory class for young dancers. Students will be introduced to the basics of ballet, stretching, and simple dance technique.  Students will build coordination by learning skills like skipping, jumping, and counting music in a fun and engaging way.  Each class is playful and creative, featuring fun dance games.  Students will work on a dance for the recital at the end of the semester in their class. 

Ballet 1 (Ages 5-7):

In Ballet 1, students begin following the structure of a traditional ballet class in a fun and encouraging environment. Dancers will continue building ballet technique, coordination, musicality, and classroom discipline while still enjoying games and creative activities throughout class. In this class, students will also learn and rehearse a dance for the end-of-semester recital. 

Ballet 2 (Ages 7-9):

In Ballet 2, students continue progressing in ballet technique while learning more challenging steps and combinations. Dancers are encouraged to grow in confidence, independence, and retention as they are asked to remember and execute material with less assistance. Students will also learn and rehearse their recital choreography during class.

Ballet 3 (Ages 9-11):

Ballet 3 is a technique-focused class designed for dancers who are ready for more serious training. This class emphasizes strengthening ballet fundamentals, refining technique, and spending focused time mastering skills while continuing to learn more advanced movements. Ballet 3 is dedicated to technical training only, with performance rehearsal taking place in a separate class to allow maximum focus on skill development.

Level 3 Conditioning/Rehearsal Class:

This class is designed for dancers enrolled in Ballet 3 and focuses on strength, conditioning, flexibility, stamina, and performance preparation. Students will learn, rehearse, and clean all dances for the end-of-semester recital in this class.  Enrollment in Ballet 3 is required to participate.
