Dancers are expected to arrive on time for all classes. Please plan to arrive 5 minutes early so dancers can use the restroom and prepare before the beginning of class.
Because recital choreography is built week by week, consistent attendance is essential. If a student misses 3 or more classes in a semester, their role in the performance may be reduced at the director’s discretion. Continued absences may result in removal from portions of the performance. This policy ensures the quality of group choreography and respects the time and effort of all dancers.
Make-up classes will be offered for any classes canceled by the studio due to instructor illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
In addition, one make-up class per semester will be scheduled for students who have missed class. These will typically be held on Saturday mornings and are available by reservation.
Missed classes are non-refundable.
Dancers are expected to show respect toward teachers and classmates at all times.
If a student displays disruptive or inappropriate behavior, they will be asked to sit out and observe class until a parent or guardian picks them up. If the behavior continues, the student may be asked to leave class altogether.
Dancers must arrive in appropriate dress code for their level.
Hair must be securely styled for class.
Proper dance shoes must be worn at all times.
No gum is allowed in class.
Dancers may not wear distracting jewelry in class.
Tuition is due upon registration or within 7 days of the start of each new month. Autopay is available and will process on the 1st of each month.
Tuition rates apply to the fall semester (August–November) and spring semester (January–May, 20). Tuition reserves a dancer’s place in class and is not based on attendance; therefore, refunds or credits will not be issued for missed classes.
A $15 late fee will be applied to accounts not paid within the 7-day grace period. If tuition remains unpaid by the end of the month, students may be suspended from classes until payment is made.
Level placement is based on age, experience, and focus ability and is determined by the director or class instructor.
Students may be moved to a higher level as instructors observe consistent improvement, commitment, and readiness for more advanced material.
Our goal is to place each dancer in the level where they have the greatest opportunity to learn and grow.
Parents should remain in designated waiting areas unless invited into class.
Please do not interrupt class or instruction.
Communication with teachers should go through studio-approved channels (email, Band App, etc.).
Parents should pick up students promptly at dismissal time.
The only students permitted in the classroom during instruction are those enrolled in the class.
Students should stay home if they are sick or contagious. Dancers must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning to class.
Any injuries should be communicated to the instructor at the beginning of class.
We hold two recitals each year — one in December and one in May. Participation is optional, but highly encouraged.
Participation in each recital requires a non-refundable recital fee, which must be paid by the semester’s due date.
Costumes:
Winter Recital: costumes are provided as studio rentals and remain at the studio after the performance.
Spring Recital: dancers receive one costume included with their recital fee and may take it home after the performance.
*Students participating in multiple dances during the spring recital will be charged an additional $35 per extra costume.
